Intensive Massage therapy
Intensive massage therapy is a more gentle form of the massage therapy techniques. Where we work more slowly to calm your brain and consciously release physical or emotional pain. By focusing the massage therapy along the meridians (energy pathways) and breathing, you activate your body’s self-healing capacity. In a safe environment you regain more control over your body’s limits and boundaries.
During the intake, at the beginning of the session a tailored massage therapy treatment plan to your specific health issue will be discussed.
For whom?
This approach is particularly beneficial for highly sensitive persons (HSP) or for complaints related to psycho-emotional traumatic events, burnout and stress related health complaints. This treatment is often a valuable addition to psychotherapy and physiotherapy .
Applied Techniques
During the treatment a combination of massage therapy techniques are applied at a slower pace. This helps to feel through and release (emotional) blockages layer by layer. It might be good to know that I am qualified to handle these techniques:
- Respiratory optimization: Deepening your breathing rhythm through gentle stretching and movement.
- Reflexology and massage therapy along the meridians (energy pathways) to activate the flow of blood & energy in your body.
- Space for feeling: Rest to feel what is happening in your body (physical/emotional) and become aware of your limits & boundaries.
Recommendations after the body oriented healing treatment took place:
- It is important to drink a large glass of water. To clear any waste products from the blood.
- Please allow some unplanned time in the rest of your day. This helps to process what has happened in the treatment. Be gentle with yourself.
The effect
By strengthening your body awareness, you’ve released tension more easily. This creates space for renewal.
- Physical: Improved blood circulation, transports oxygen, hormones and nutrients more effectively throughout your body and optimizes your energy.
- Mental: Your mindset calms down, creating space for your own insights.
- Emotional: You feel more powerful and better balanced and recognize your limits.
Where needed you’ve been given a breathing exercise or a specific physical exercise or some appointed reflexology points to help you self regulate physical balance after the session took place.
